Lightbulb The Auction...

Hello Everyone,

The much awaited and anticipated Gamerooster.com Auction is now active. There have been several changes to how it works.

1. If you are already registered on the Gamerooster.com Forums your username has been ported to the auction. You will use the same username on the Auction as you use on the Forum, Photo Gallery and the Chat room. Just so you know, any disciplinary action taken on any part of the site will be reflected on ALL parts of the site. (i.e.: if you get banned from the Auction you will be banned from the Forum)

2. You should have received an email with your new Auction password. Even though you will use the same username on all parts of the site, your password is maintained separate from the password used on the Forum, Gallery and Chat which will continue to use the same password. Please login to the Auction and change your password to something you will remember.

3. The Auction setup will be under constant modification over the next several weeks. The fees will be waived thru January 31st while we tweak this and that to get the site working the way everyone likes it. Please be patient and cooperative during this process.

4. Any new registrations at Gamerooster will be performed thru the Auction signup process. The auction requires more detailed information about you in order to allow you to buy and sell. (i.e.: Address, Phone Number, etc...) This information will be kept confidential by the Gamerooster Staff and ONLY shared with Winning Bidders on your Auctions. Any misuse of Member information will be dealt with swiftly and harshly.

5. Those of you who were just imported will need to edit your personal information and add you address and telephone information to your account in order to be given full access to the auction.

There will be lots of questions I'm sure over the coming days, but I think we'll put together one awesome auction. Please post auction questions HERE

Post A message from the darkside of the moon. LOL

I don't get online that much anymore. When I do, I don't post on here. As the Administrator stated in one of his freqent postings in regards to the auction site. I'm not all that loved over trying to see people are not robbed on the auction site so be it, and I could care less. The site owner, and the Administrator still think well of me, and that's all that really counts in my book.

Here's a good portion of the story on current auction registrations folks.

Only a few have been manually activated.

I'm pretty heavily involved in working both abroad, and at home to keep me Mic head above water finanically anymore folks.

IF you need help in getting your auction account to work: Feel free to email me at auction@gamerooster.com

Death threats, insane accusations of my being a sexual deviate and/or predator, wanting to assault me, burn my home, kill my dog, kill and/or rape my wife, etc. are OPTIONAL when, and if you choose to email me OF COURSE.

All only half assed joking above aside: I'll help you as my online time permits to the best of my abilities IF you want my help.

IF I'm too horrible a online presence for you to want to deal with, and you still wish help with a Gamerooster auction account, feel free to email the following Arbitrators.

danishammer@gmail.com

shortline@live.com

(There will eventually be other Arbitrator's email addresses added in the near future.)

To the best of my knowledge both of these gentlemen are pretty busy anymore offline as well though. Just a word to the wise insofar as that goes.

To obtain an auction account PLEASE COMPLETE the registration PROPERLY.

As in the following:

A full, real name where there's supposed to be a full, real name.

A complete physical address. (NO PO box folks)

A full, real phone number.

A actual dob.

Full names, complete physical addresses, phone numbers, and dates of birth will have to be VERIFIABLE. I've always been very serious about what I just went over. I'll not be changing such requirements in the future, and all the information will have to be VERIFIABLE insofar as it ALL tying in together.

One last time folks: Just a user name, and nothing more, OR incomplete registrations will not cut it now, or in the future back there.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE I can not emphasize this enough folks. IF you only had a po box, instead of an actual verifiable physical address, on your current active auction account registration, or most recent application for an auction account it has either been suspended, or will not be approved.

Any site fees you see if, and when you might choose to post ANY auctions at this point in time should be IGNORED as per the Technical Administrator's previous instructions in some of his other posts regarding the auction site. He's still working on this aspect of the site, and quite simply is not done working on that portion of the site yet the way I understand it folks.

The one's of you who do have current auction accounts. PLEASE make sure the information which is on them is VERIFIABLE. Just because you currently have an active auction account doesn't mean your situation can't change after myself, or one of the Arbitrators reviews the current active accounts in the near future. An believe me, they will be getting reviewed in the near future as time permits.

If you visit the auction site there are a number of tabs you can click on such as home, sell, register, AND a faq (frequently asked questions) tab. Questions and answers will be added to as time goes on in an effort to help auction users understand how the site works, how to avoid problems, what to do in certain instances, etc.

Directly below is an example of what we have to sort through back there as well as a response from Auction Administration. (username was changed to gibberish in the example used below for privacy reasons)

I would ask that people PLEASE take time to actually fill in the registration form properly to avoid any delays/problems in obtaining an auction account.

As per the subject line, take this however you like. I really do wonder about some of you who choose to apply for auction accounts.

Yall state, "I have done everything i know of why is my account suspended?"

Let's look at things from our end. Here below is what you have on your auction registration.

Full Name *&^%$#@
Full Address None
00000, Needed
Georgia, United States
Phone 0000000000

Date of Birth 0000-00-00 (format: yyyy-mm-dd

Now, that's really great. We know your USERNAME, not your REAL name is *&^%$#@. We know you claim to live in Georgia. We're presuming, at this point in the proceedings, it's the state not the country of Georgia. An last but most certainly not least we have an aol email address were we can send this email message.

With all that being said, you expect to be allowed to obtain, and keep a online auction account were you may buy, or sell, from or to the public?!! You're kidding us, right?!!

When you feel like filling out the registration properly, please let me know. Until then the account will remain suspended.

Auction Administration

IF you are unable to get your registration form to load up simply email me at auction@gamerooster.com

If your willing to place a full, real name, verifiable physical address, and phone number on the registration then I'll be happy to try to help you insofar as I can.

IF you have (or had) an auction account, and it suddenly goes South (gets suspended) feel free to read the faq's as well as answers on the auction site.

http://www.gamerooster.com/auction/c...s.php?page=faq

After you've read such, and might possibly want the account reinstated feel free to email a Arbitrator, or myself.

Regards, and good day.

Ignore it, and if you encounter any problems due to it (you shouldn't) just email me.
