This is Brownred pair from-well my family I guess since I changed them since Buck Haws had them.I used BuckHaws Brownreds and put in a shot of Charlie Eidt Redquill in them and bred back to the Brownred side was very successful with them in my little nitch and others have used them been very successful prob be surprised to know the folks that have them--LOL.I still make reference to them being Buck Haws Brownreds and did keep the Haws straight and the Charlie Eidt Redquills straight for many years but in the end I let the BH BR go as I like the blend and felt they were the better fowl and they reproduced very high percentage winners in LG back when it was legal. They are my favorite family I have ever fooled with.Didnt hurt that the Redquills were the best crossing fowl I ever owned either-LOL.

This hen is one of the lighter ones they come near solid black to this almost quill color. The young cock thats with her --LOL--hes one of 4 came off a brother sister breeding and when they were just starting to crow the four tied up on the yard he was winner I almost saved another one hand fed him for almost a week this one I never trimmed and he got a hen.The original Haws were a little low/med stationed very powerful and came about 85% straight comb. Was told by Goblin Cleaver the family that throwed pea comb Buck had put a little asil in--dont know all I know been good ones for years for me.

Really nice pair. Your Brownred hen looks like a full sister to my Warhorse hen.
